Service Providers and Client Platforms
We do not sell personal information for money. We share information only with vendors who help us run the business, such as Google Workspace, hosting, analytics, payment processors, and file-exchange tools.When engaged, we exchange information with tax authorities and platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, Gusto, ADP, and banking data providers strictly to perform the work in your engagement letter.Vendors may only use information to provide services to us. We do not disclose taxpayer records for marketing without the signed consent required under IRC Section 7216.
Legal and Business Sharing
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Easier Accounting, our clients, or others.If Easier Accounting is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred subject to confidentiality obligations.For any other purpose, we share only with your consent disclosed at the point of collection.
Advertising, Retention, and Security
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads to understand site use and measure campaigns. Opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on, or personalized Ads at adssettings.google.com.We retain information as long as reasonably necessary. Client engagement records are typically retained for at least seven years after the close of the engagement, in line with IRS guidance.We use encryption in transit, access controls, vendor due diligence, and secure file-exchange tools. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your Privacy Rights
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may request access, deletion, correction, and opt-out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money.Utah residents (UCPA) may request confirmation of processing, a copy of personal data, deletion of data they provided, and opt-out of targeted advertising and certain sales.Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and other state residents may have similar rights of access, deletion, correction, portability, or opt-out.
